Job Summary

This role provides management of the install lifecycle for Managed CPE deployment & logistics for North America (US., Canada, Puerto Rico, US VI), APAC and EMEA (excluding LATAM), China and India.

Responsible for planning and directing the work of Managed Services Global Logistics who are responsible for:  Validation and Review of Customer Managed Solutions; Writing Configurations for Managed CPE Equipment; Project Management, Scheduling and Controls for CPE Deployment and Coordination of Order Delivery to meet Customer Expectations.

Job Description

  • Managers at this level are typically responsible for managing the most complex customer solutions as well as large projects with capital expenditure and/or budget separate from headcount.
  • Provides leadership, technical and operational direction and quality assurance for every aspect of a customer's order by providing tactical direction for all facets of the Provisioning team.
  • Ensures daily operations and initiatives are understood, and work assignments are completed.
  • Delivers best practices and is accountable for ensuring that teams results meet or exceed all service levels including on-time performance for customer orders and meeting all quality standards and policies set forth by Engineering, Service Management and Service Activation Organizations.
  • Provides oversight and is accountable for Managed Services Lifecyle Management by managing a Provisioning/Project Management team that is responsible for: Validation and review of customer managed solutions; writing configurations for managed CPE equipment, project management, scheduling and controls for CPE deployment, and coordination of order delivery to meet customer expectations.
  • Manages daily workload through effective prioritization and communication.
  • Drives escalations as needed for customer requests
  • Serves as a liaison and 2nd point of escalation for customer orders.
  • Works with peer organizations to produce a seamless service delivery experience for customers.
  • Ensures timely and effective communication with customers, Sales, and peer organizations.
  • Responsible for communicating order/project status, escalations, operational reviews, budgetary reviews and tactical and strategic initiatives as necessary.



  • Minimum of 7 years customer service experience in the telecommunications industry with Service Activation, Network Deployment, Field Services, Supply Chain and Logistics, and/or Outside Plant experience with at least 2 years of experience as a supervisor or manager
  • Supervisory skills required
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage operational and/or capital budgets
  • Thorough understanding of at least one of the products and services offered and a basic understanding of all is required
  • Extremely strong sense of urgency required
  • Experience managing escalations with minimal senior management intervention required.
  • Understanding of CenturyLink’s business strategy, IT systems, and Service Delivery processes highly desired.
  • Business Process Management (Six Sigma, TOC, Ops Science, etc.) experience a plus.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Business process experience preferred.
  • High integrity and strong business ethics.
  • Team player with a great passion to succeed.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in PC applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint

Education Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 7 plus years of relevant job experience. Relevant job experience is described as:
