Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Network Product Management, APAC, will be a key member of the Product Management leadership team and will play a critical role in defining and delivering the BU’s product strategy in APAC region.  The incumbent will be responsible for building and maintaining product line roadmaps, product strategies, and new product creation to maintain and deliver profitable growth and a growing recurring maintenance revenue stream.

  • This role will lead the Network product management for the APAC region aligning closely with the global Product Management organization
  • Establishing and solidifying CenturyLink’s short, mid, and long-term network product vision and roadmap
  • Represent the Global Network Product Management Organization for the APAC region covering
    • Solutions Engagement
    • Overlay Support
    • Product Lifecycle Management for Networking and Unified Communications Covering technologies such as Hybrid WAN (Internet, MPLS, IP VPN, SD-WAN), Ethernet, Wave and CDN
  • This role will work closely with the Sales and Marketing Organization, aligning products and services required for the APAC region to define the go to market strategy and also the Operations, Delivery, Access Management organization to ensure smooth customer experience
  • Determining network product investment areas and drive revenue growth through strategic investments

Job Description


  • Customer Experience: Collaboratively create and execute a global customer experience vision and strategy. Institutionalize end-to-end customer experience oversight as it relates to product deployment and lifecycle performance.
  • Collaborating to build and present customer facing roadmap to create customer rapport and confidence in CenturyLink’s product direction
  • Maintain strategic relationship with executives within the industry and customer base
  • Identify and establish relationships with key industry partners and alliances to drive growth and expand delivery capabilities.
  • Oversee product lifecycle management for all CenturyLink Network products.
  • Develop business cases to invest capital in the growth of existing network or to support the launch of new products and services.
  • Responsible for identifying opportunities that lead to the growth of the product through innovation while still maintaining the fundamental business goals/priorities.
  • Effectively communicating and building consensus within the BU regarding the product vision and roadmap
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to execute on regional growth strategy for the network products
  • Manage routine reviews of pipeline with resulting sales support actions and strategy.
  • Strong business acumen is required to understand contracts, complex SLAs, financial results and corresponding action plans to identify and maintain focus on key success factors. Anticipates and prepares response to key marketplace trends, opportunities, and vulnerabilities. Recommends ways to position the organization for long-term competitiveness.
  • Oversee the creation and management of pricing models for network products
  • Build a successful team of direct reports (Product Managers and Overlay support), establish cross functional organizational processes to improve client relationships and satisfaction.
  • Leading, coaching and managing the network product management team to execute on the product strategy
  • Work Closely with the Marketing Communications team to identify and supply content for and deliver messaging and marketing programs to support product strategies
  • Collaborate with Marketing to identify and deliver analyst content and programs to drive lead generation and sales pipeline



Minimum Requirements:

  • Over 12 years of proven experience in technical management, product management, operations excellence and solutioning
  • Senior executive influence, management and relationship experience representing CenturyLink as a key leader
  • Proven ability to identify, recruit and develop a successful team
  • Excellent planning and decision-making skills and demonstrates leadership agility
  • Ability to work effectively at all organizational levels internally and externally, and provide superior customer service.
  • Ability to think strategically, develop tactics and execute
  • Ability to influence and identify champions, both internally and externally
  • Ability to utilize economic, financial, and organizational data to build business cases for major initiatives, analyze business performance or trends, and understand how marketing and product management efforts impact results.
  • Ability to manage and motivate teams, encourage employee engagement, and foster teamwork, creativity and collaboration.
  • Experience of operating in an international and complex environment
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Exhibits positive and creative approach with demonstrated skill in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues.
