Position Summary:

The Lead Product Manager will be a key member of the Network Product Management team and will play a critical role in defining and delivering the BU’s Internet, Peering, and CDN product strategy in APAC region.  The incumbent will be responsible for building and maintaining the product line roadmap, product strategy, and new product creation for Internet Services, Peering, and CDN products to maintain and deliver profitable growth and a growing recurring maintenance revenue stream.

  • This role will lead the Internet, Peering, and CDN product management for the APAC region aligning closely with the global Network Product Management organization
  • Establishing and solidifying CenturyLink’s short, mid, and long-term Internet and CDN product vision and roadmap
  • Represent the Global Network Product Management Organization for the APAC region covering
    • Slutions Engagement for Internet and CDN enterprise opportunities
    • Overlay Supprt
    • Prduct Lifecycle Management for network products covering technologies such as Hybrid WAN (Internet, MPLS, IP VPN, SD-WAN), Ethernet, Wave and CDN
  • This role will closely collaborate with the Sales and Marketing Organization, aligning Internet and CDN products with the go to market strategy in the APAC region while also working closely with Operations, Delivery, and Access Management organizations to ensure smooth customer experience.
  • Determining Internet and CDN product investment areas and drive revenue growth through strategic investments


Job Description


  • Customer Experience: Collaboratively create and execute a global customer experience vision and strategy. Institutionalize end-to-end customer experience oversight as it relates to Internet and CDN service deployment and lifecycle performance.
  • Collaborating to build and present customer facing roadmap to create customer rapport and confidence in CenturyLink’s Internet and CDN product direction
  • Maintain strategic knowledge of Managed Services, MPLS, Ethernet, Internet, CDN, and other Network technologies
  • Identify and establish relationships with key industry partners and alliances to drive growth and expand delivery capabilities
  • Oversee product lifecycle management for all CenturyLink Internet and CDN products
  • Develop business cases to invest capital in the growth of existing network or to support the launch of new Internet and CDN products and services
  • Responsible for identifying opportunities that lead to the growth of the product through innovation while still maintaining the fundamental business goals/priorities.
  • Effectively communicating and building consensus within the BU regarding the product vision and roadmap.
  • Partner with Sales to execute on regional growth strategy for the network products with focus on Internet and CDN products.
  • Manage routine reviews of pipeline with resulting sales support actions and strategy.
  • Strong business acumen is required to understand contracts, complex SLAs, financial results and corresponding action plans to identify and maintain focus on key success factors. Anticipates and prepares response to key marketplace trends, opportunities, and vulnerabilities. Recommends ways to position the organization for long-term competitiveness
  • Oversee the creation and management of finance cost models and pricing models for Internet and CDN products


Minimum Requirements:

  • Over 10 years of proven experience in technical management, product management, operations excellence and solutioning
  • Excellent planning and collaborative skills and demonstrates ability to be agile and think outside the box
  • Ability to work effectively at all organizational levels internally and externally, and provide superior customer service
  • Ability to think strategically, develop tactics and execute
  • Ability to ideate, socialize, and influence new product solutions
  • Ability to utilize economic, financial, and organizational data to build business cases for major initiatives, analyze business performance or trends, and understand how marketing and product management efforts impact results
  • Experience of operating in an international and complex environment
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Exhibits positive and creative approach with demonstrated skill in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues
