Position Objective/ Summary:

 

The Lead Pricing Analyst will liaise cross-functionally with the Global Strategic Pricing team, as well as partner with APAC Product Management and APAC Solutions Marketing teams to support the development and execution of regional pricing strategies and governance. 

 

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Creating and monitoring regional strategic pricing objectives that support achievement of regional yearly revenue and margin targets, as well as proper pricing governance.
  • Driving APAC pricing strategy development though an ongoing understanding and analysis of regional and international marketing strategies & trends, in-region competitive pricing & positioning, and APAC customer price points.  Learnings and analysis will be provided as inputs to the Global Strategic Pricing team and/or to drive regional pricing programs and initiatives.
  • Working with global Strategic Pricing and APAC Product Management and APAC Solutions Marketing stakeholders to create and implement commercial pricing strategies and tactics, including: pricing policies, service/tiered pricing structure, price/volume discounts and pricing promotions.
  • Partnering with global Strategic Pricing, APAC Finance and APAC Procurement teams to review regional COGS and economics to ensure optimal product pricing models.
  • Collaborating with APAC Product Management and APAC Solutions Marketing teams to devise and price APAC Solutions bundles.
  • Supporting APAC Offer Management and APAC Product Management teams in margin analysis and win/loss reviews.
  • Supporting APAC Offer Management teams in Deal Review Process.
  • Providing inputs to APAC Product Management/Business Development teams for development of APAC business cases.
  • Creating and driving a Pricing Committee with representatives from APAC Enterprise Sales, APAC Offer Management, APAC Product Management and APAC Solutions Marketing teams to review pricing strategies and ensure continuous improvement of pricing strategy decisions.
  • Creating and sharing regular analysis reports on APAC pricing strategy initiatives and programs

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years relevant experience with supporting pricing and/or pricing strategy programs
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the APAC ICT industry
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area from a reputable tertiary institution

 

Preferred Requirements:

  • 7+ years relevant experience with managing pricing strategy programs with a Telco
  • Familiarity with Commercial/Legal ICT landscape of key CenturyLink APAC target markets – SG, JP, HK, CN, ID, AU

Masters or Equivalent in Finance or Accounting

Bachelors or Equivalent in Finance or Accounting
