Job Summary

This role is responsible for improving the productivity of the Talent Management- Sales Training organization through innovative training program development and deployment.  This person is responsible for managing a team of Training Delivery individuals whose primary focus is to support the Sales and Sales Support Organizations. Their primary role is to identify and remove sales and sales support constraints through effective development of “back office” support. They will be responsible for identifying the business needs that drive the programs and implement effective solutions to meet those needs.  They will continually assess current programs effectiveness, improve efficiencies and be able to demonstrate the impact to each program. 

Job Description

People Leadership

Manage training programs and coach others involved in training efforts.

Providing effective growth and development opportunities. 

Develop and monitor spending against the departmental budget.

Exemplify the desired culture and unifying principles of the organization.

Work effectively as a team member and provide support to the human resources organization.

Partner with HRBPs to ensure consistency of training policies and procedures.

Measure and analyze back office metrics and make recommendations for improvements.

Continuously assess the training and development needs of Sales and Sales Support business unit.

Coach, Develop and provide constructive feedback of team member

Program Leadership

Create and manage every aspect of this support team including coordination with sales & sales support, logistics, and delivery.

Gain Leadership support internally with Training Team and Sales/Sales Support teams

Project manage the significant changes that occur within CenturyLink and the team


3+ years in people leadership position required

3+ years in Learning & Development or similar job experience preferred

Ability to think conceptually and strategically, while maintaining a cost-conscious and practical approach to using time and resources

Excellent business acumen

Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Strong reporting, metrics, and analytical capabilities

Strong project planning skills associated with learning and development initiatives

Understanding of Program management

Business process design and implementation
