Job Summary

The Business Development Manager drives Indirect Channel sales, revenue growth, and profitability. Indirect Channel Sales includes the full portfolio of Enterprise products and solutions CenturyLink offers.

Job Description

  • Liaison between the NA Indirect team/Channel partners and the A-end APAC Sales team
  • Assist the sales organization in the identification of potential opportunities for services with new prospects as well as existing clients, propose and close solutions to new business opportunities, create and refine solutions, and transition to the respective sales teams
  • Create awareness of our APAC footprint, network & service capabilities, and expansion plans amongst the north American Indirect Sales team, Channel partners, Enterprise customers & Prospective customers
  • Identify and facilitate appropriate training for the NA Indirect Channel teams and Channel partners on a quarterly basis or as needed
  • Create appropriate marketing and sales promotions for the Indirect and APAC Marketing organizations, that stimulates sales & revenue
  • Proactively build a robust sales pipeline, create collaboration between Channel Partner/Agent/end-customer, and the APAC sales team.
  • Contribute and grow the Indirect Channel sales & revenue through support of the team
  • Meet with existing clients and new sales prospects to effectively pitch CenturyLink services and solutions
  • Interface frequently and effectively with various CenturyLink teams including, Marketing, Procurement, Service Delivery, Legal, Contracts, Billing, Product Management, Engineering etc. as required
  • Communicate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Attend sales team meetings periodically and travel as needed for internal and external meetings
  • Monitor & Measure sales success, refine & optimize our channel engagement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 7 years of progressive experience, including 3 to 5 years in consulting/business development; or 10+ years of relevant and consulting experience
  • Proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously, while effectively prioritizing throughout the project lifecycles
  • Strong MS Office experience, with ability to pull information from many different sources and put together to present to Indirect Channel Sales

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Indirect Channel and/or Enterprise Sales/BD experience is preferred
  • Industry and Enterprise customer segment knowledge
