Job Summary

CenturyLink is looking for an experienced marketer to grow adoption of Fiber Internet service among residential consumers (both single family and multi-dwelling) and support business decisions for future deployments.  In the Senior Lead Marketing Manager role, you will craft the most compelling value proposition, customer experience strategies and go-to-market programs to accelerate penetration of our flagship product.  As such, you should become the subject matter expert on the voice of the consumer.  The Senior Lead Marketing Manager will be expected to create best-in-class marketing plans and see them through to execution.  The successful Senior Lead Marketing Manager will share and deliver against high expectations for measurement of marketing activities, defining success metrics, methods of measurement and reporting processes for their programs.

Job Description

-          Support product and company revenue objectives for acquisition, upgrade, upsell and retention

-          Work with product management, network/operations, marcom and legal teams to distill key functionality and benefits into core product marketing messages

-          Own the development of compelling value propositions, customer-facing messaging, core content, marketing and go-to-market strategies

-          Identify customer needs, research and evaluate emerging technology, analyze market trends and competitors and define desired experiences for improved execution and ROI

-          Define desired product features and benefits, detail and prioritize product requirements, and ensure successful launches and ongoing enhancements

-          Audit, identify and make recommendations for product and process improvements, consulting with middle/senior level product, network and field management

-          Ensure network integrity and a superior customer experience before, during and after the installation and repair of consumer fiber-based broadband

-          Identify, test, execute and optimize breakthrough product marketing activities, messages and experiences that reach the target audience and ultimately drive preference and purchase

-          Provide strategic direction and guidance for overall campaigns, including creation and approvals of collateral including DM, email, social and other tactics

-          Manage marketing campaigns and report key campaign KPIs

 

Qualifications
  •           5-7 years of recent experience in product management, product marketing or operational support for residential broadband products
  •           Innovative and strategic thinker who has a strong customer and quality focus
  •           Thorough understanding of GPON broadband technology and basic understanding of network installation, maintenance and testing of central offices as well as FTTH and data networking
  •           Ability to demonstrate knowledge of computer operating systems and tools to install and repair customer networking products
  •           Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  •           Strong leader with the ability to create actionable business plans and deliver results cross functionally with technical and business partners at all levels in a highly matrixed environment
  •           Sound ability to lead effective process development and improvement
  •           Solid analytical and quantitative skills, including forecasting and advanced Excel techniques, with the ability to use meaningful data and metrics to support assumptions and evaluated outcomes
  •           Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, applied engineering or a related field.
