Job Summary

Responsible for providing leadership, planning, project management and management of CenturyLink’s HCM SuccessFactors environment.  The position is the functional and technical expert for all SuccessFactors modules.  The role is also the liaison between SAP/SuccessFactors, 3rd party vendors and our internal Information Technology partners in supporting, creating, maintaining and upgrading our technology processes and platforms to meet the business needs.  This position will report to the Director of HRIS. 


Job Description

Lead the SuccessFactors HRIS function in the management of day to day activities to support HR and other related functions. Serve as liaison between HR, IT, external vendors and functional support teams.

Leads and develops approximately 5-10 professional level HRIS team members.

Manage CenturyLink’s SuccessFactors modules (Employee Central, Recruiting, Learning, Compensation, Performance & Goals)

Serve as subject matter expert on SuccessFactors HCM modules and partner with key business stakeholders to recommend and implement the necessary functional modifications and enhancements to SuccessFactors HR modules, based on needs analysis.

Manage projects associated with implementing new functionality and/or enhancements to existing SuccessFactors environment; including requirements analysis and documentation, testing and deployment change management. Based on business needs, negotiate project priorities and support.

Develop and maintain SuccessFactors role based security standards/documentation and reporting for the function.

Provide recurring reports on the current state of each SuccessFactors module.

Participate in the ongoing development and execution of the HR/IT roadmap (including applications/modules, release strategy, testing, training and roll-out).

Develops and monitors people related procedures and transactions and improves information gathering, input processing and data reporting. Ensure efficient and effective end user process workflows for SuccessFactors Self-Service in an accurate and timely manner.

Interpret HR policies and translate them into HRIS system process procedures.

Assist in HRIS integration of acquired companies.


Bachelor degree in related human resources discipline or equivalent education.

7+ years of HRIS/HR process experience

2+ years of supervisory experience

A minimum of five years of experience with multiple SuccessFactors HCM modules

Strong analytical, problem solving skills, and decision making skills

Demonstrated consultative skills in a corporate environment.

Demonstrated ability to manage and provide leadership on large and complex projects

Demonstrated ability to manage the technical relationship between HR, IT, payroll and third party providers.

Demonstrated ability to lead by example and contribute to team’s output, as needed, in order to ensure team member success.

Business interest and acumen to properly apply HRIS solutions to business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

In depth knowledge of full suite of SuccessFactors HCM modules, including Employee Central

Project management experience and methodology

Ability to effectively interact, influence and respond in a fast paced business environment.


Bachelors or Equivalent in Human Resources or Information Systems
