Job Summary

We currently have an outstanding opportunity for a passionate, experienced Senior Business Intelligence Developer.  You will join our Business Intelligence Reporting and Analytics (BIRA) team supporting our global Operations centers.

 

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer applies an analytical mind to turn data into knowledge. By interpreting data to discover patterns and identify trends, he/she will create timely, relevant and actionable insights that will be highly impactful. The Senior Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for creating and managing highly intricate data models and data-mining large, complex data sets for opportunities across the business.

Job Description

As a Senior Business Intelligence Developer, you will:

  • Be involved in all aspects of the development life cycle including, requirements gathering, architecture, development, testing, training, implementation and support of reporting applications to be used internally by our employees.
  • Use your creativity and curiosity to partner with associates in other business areas to define business needs and help translate those needs into reporting system requirements.
  • Develop back end SQL server data marts for Business Intelligence, Reporting and Analytics.
  • Create complex SQL queries and database objects (stored procs, views, etc.) to pull and manage data
  • Develop SSIS packages to move and translate data
  • Collaborate with business unit owners to constantly improve work product, debug erroneous logic, and create new features in existing report packages
  • Develop new front end reporting applications using Microsoft SSRS and Tableau
  • Resolve data and reporting issues from business partners.
  • Provide data and programming expertise to meet internal ad hoc data requirements.
  • Provide production support (generally during normal business hours) for scheduled reporting tools.

Qualifications

What will make you a great fit:

  • You have 4+ years of BI developer and/or IT developer or equivalent experience.
  • You have 4+ years of experience within a Microsoft SQL Server environment. Experience should include development of database objects as well as complex ETL experience utilizing SSIS/SSDT.
  • You have 4+ years of experience developing complex Business Intelligence solutions using either Tableau or Microsoft SSRS
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You can interact well with individuals from all disciplines and levels.
  • You have a minimum of 3 years of experience utilizing proven requirements gathering and business analysis techniques required. Proven ability to speak “non-technical” during this process. Must have a complete understanding of the business intelligence development life cycle including the ability to conduct interviews and gather the needs for desired outcomes for the BI solutions being built
  • You are able to effectively manage multiple projects and manage across teams
  • You have strong analytical skills and a desire to continuously learn and question what you see
  • You have excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • You have a strong ability to work both independently as well as within a team. You have a willingness to learn from others and be self-motivated to expand knowledge on a daily basis.
