Center Sales and Service Associate-Retention

Job Summary

The Retention Representative is an inside sales position that is responsible for retaining customers. Under immediate supervision, each representative will respond to phone calls in a fast-paced call center and maximize retention opportunities by responding to in-bound disconnect/downgrade calls in a continuous effort to retain customers while promoting and selling CenturyLink products and services to residential customers. Representatives will also provide extraordinary customer service; to include answering questions, fulfilling orders, troubleshooting problems, responding with information, and limiting call transfers with first call resolution, using various computer systems (20 or more)/screens simultaneously to process sales and service orders.


Wages/Training:

  • $11.03/hr to start with hourly wage increases every six months until reaching the top of the wage scale plus uncapped commission for incredible earning potential!
  • Paid training will be six weeks; 10a.m. to 7p.m. Mon-Fri.
  • MUST be able to attend entire training without time off!

Location: 1875 International Way, Idaho Falls, ID 83402
 

Typical Work Hours:  Current hours of operation are 7am to 7pm. Mon-Fri. Shifts are based on seniority. Mandatory overtime may be required, based on call volumes during normal hours of operation.

Required Skills and Abilities:

 

Ability to meet and exceed monthly retention and sales goals

  • Terrific oral and written communications skills
  • Strong customer focus
  • Excellent punctuality and work attendance history
  • Proficient in multi-tasking within several computer applications and databases
  • Able to handle a high volume of phone calls in a structured environment
  • Must be flexible to work various shifts, including Saturdays, evenings, mandatory overtime and holidays as necessary
  • Computer literacy
  • Positive attitude with a sales mindset

 

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior sales experience in a customer-facing environment or commissioned based position
  • Experience in an in-bound or out-bound call center
  • 6 or more months of customer service experience
