Job Summary

The UCC Implementation Project Manager has a full competency on systems, advance technical competency on products/network, advanced consultative skills, sales/management background. Responsible for implementing enterprise level/complex solutions for UCC customers. With direction, leads implementation project team including customer contacts with regards to account set up, branding, customization, and number ordering, and capacity assurance.

 

 

Job Description

  • Effectively uses internal systems and tools to manage setup and branding of all product features and configuration of capabilities. Requires detailed knowledge of unique internally designed tools, and excellent attention to details to avoid negative impacts or omissions.
  • Manages the weekly implementation meetings and onboarding of customer solutions, using Microsoft Project and/or a project activity log, to fully implement and customize solutions per customer requirements. Includes Audio, Web, Video and On-Net network solutions. Includes managing projects for new customers and enhancements/changes for existing customers to maximize revenue.
  • Quality checks requirements, places orders, and configures third party services (i.e. WebEx, Web Meeting, Blue Jeans, Lync, Event Studio, Wallet cards, etc. Manages frequent updates and termination of same services.
  • Provides consultation on solution options to sales staff and customers. Must continually enhance level of knowledge with constantly developing products. Serves as liaison with internal resources to facilitate technical designs/communications to implement the most efficient and cost effective solutions for Level 3 and the customers. Develops, documents, and communicates processes for team effectiveness as well as Sales staff and customers.
  • Participates on product development teams to ensure customer provisioning requirements, processes and internal system integration limitations/requirements are accommodated in the new product development projects. Provides expertise to design workable solutions for internal and external customers. Also acts as a liaison to Product Management and Sales Engineering for development of existing product enhancements.
  • Investigates customer issues to determine root cause being production flaws or configuration settings. Communicates with internal resources, Sales, and customers directly.

Other Job Requirements

  • Sales, Account Management, and or Project Management experience. Minimum 3 years’ experience with UCC Services, thorough knowledge of CenturyLink UCC service offerings.
  • Familiarity with CenturyLink UCC functional area processes.
  • Working knowledge of CenturyLink UCC internal systems, such as CIS/Client Mgr, Rules RAAG, Ready-Access, Pactolus, etc.
  • Knowledge of IPVPN, VoIP. Knowledge of SIP and WebEx a plus. 
  • Exceptional verbal and written skills. Must be able to effectively communicate details to customers. Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong Attention to detail required. Must be able to multi-task and manage fast paced environment and work load. 
  • Presentation skills. Comfortable with small to medium size audiences. 
  • Strong computer skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel a must. Microsoft Project experience desirable. 
  • Technical aptitude required.
