Job Summary

This role is within the CenturyLink Security Technologies Team which is looking to grow its capabilities to develop large scale software defined orchestration of security based platforms.  The team collaborates with several internal stakeholders to develop software systems that identify, coordinate, and execute automated responses to network based threats.  The type of work this team does can range from automating workflows, to implementing complex auto-correlation and decision making to suggest or automatically respond to detected network attacks.


We are looking for a talented and motivated person to join in on this exciting work to help further our ability to automatically defend our customers against advanced threats.  Our ideal candidate is someone who has a passion for technology, is a strong self-learner, and enjoys automating and modeling data.

Job Description

The focus of the Systems Analyst is to help design and build a system that will ultimately be the hub of all data for our orchestration program.  The candidate will work with other teams to determine the data needed, develop the model for common schemas, and write jobs to ETL the desired data into the internal systems.


Desired candidates will have a strong background exhibiting:
- Experience with Python or similar scripting language
- General SQL knowledge
- Experience with database engines such as MSSQL, Oracle, etc
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with data modeling techniques and methodologies


Well experienced candidates may also have the following skills:
- Experience with DevOps and continuous integration
- Experience with software development
- Experience with configuration management tools such as ansible, salt, chef, etc
- Experience extracting and normalizing large datasets from various enterprise data systems
- Knowledge of existing data modeling standards around configuration managementDesired candidates will have a strong background exhibiting
