Job Summary

The Senior Lead Product Manager will be responsible for the overall strategy and direction for products within the CenturyLink Hybrid Networking product portfolio.  This position will provide vision and tactical leadership to rationalize the current services by defining market requirements, profitability models, and how the target state products are sold and delivered. This role will also lead the profit and loss for these services and is accountable for the lifecycle management of the products. Based on a thorough understanding of the Hybrid Networking services CenturyLink offers; this position will create and manage programs which drive broader adoption of and migration to our HWAN and SD-WAN services.  This position will leverage proven leadership and collaboration skills to deliver the Company's product strategy by leading cross-functional teams to execute the resulting tactical plans.

Job Description

  • Develops and articulates vision and market strategy across the Hybrid Networking services product portfolio, rationalizing the offerings where needed. Identifies market direction, what’s important to customers, where technology and features are evolving and where the company can effectively compete. 
  • Owns the lifecycle management of current CenturyLink Hybrid Networking services delivered to customers.
  • Leads the development of new or enhanced products and product features by understanding the market, writing detailed market and product requirements, developing financial justification, and championing the ask through leadership to market.
  • Executes tactical product plans through leadership of cross-functional teams.
  • Supports and assists Sales Teams with day to day inquiries and discussing potential solutions.


  • Bachelor's degree in technology, business, or engineering discipline or equivalent education and relevant experience
  • 10+ years overall experience; 5+ years with product management, previous hands-on technology role (engineering, product development, sales engineering, or systems operations); 8+ years w/Master's degree or equivalent and relevant work experience preferred.
  • Expert level understanding of industry best practices for Hybrid Wan technologies (IP VPN, DIA, Broadband and Cellular), Managed Network Services, and SD-WAN technologies and vendors (Viptela, VeloCloud, Versa, etc.).
  • Ability to gather data from the market and customers to analytically determine business priorities. Experience creating product specifications, performing competitive analysis and/or market research.
  • Technical expertise in and knowledge of data networking and software defined networks services with ability to understand product dynamics, customer needs and recommend product enhancements.
  • Achieve strategic goals in an innovative, fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and desire to make an impact quickly
  • Make decisions and problem solve while working under pressure
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks independently.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office products (Visio, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to leverage organizational capabilities to develop detailed documentation and manage complex product commercialization services
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Candidate must have experience in collaborating and providing leadership/direction to a wide range of organizations in areas such as: Service assurance, Service Delivery, Legal, Operations and Billing.  Ability to execute plans across multiple cross-organizational teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to succinctly describe complex technical concepts/products and strategies, effectively distilling these into structured product management and marketing plans.
