Job Summary

Responsible for accounting functions within Operating Expense (Opex), including but not limited to:

  • Monthly close process, variance analysis, and financial reporting
  • Account reconciliations in Blackline
  • Liaison with FP&A on problem resolution and process improvements
  • Ad hoc analysis and research as needed
Job Description

Responsibilites include but are not limited to internal/external commissions, deferred installation labor, and capitalized labor.

  • Perform month end close duties, prepare monthly Blackline balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Maintain a high-level of data integrity given the confidential nature of the underlying data.
  • Preparation of monthly journal entries with supporting documentation.
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual variance analysis with detailed account level analysis of period over period variances for flash reporting using SAP and Essbase data.
  • Preparation of quarter end PBCs and SEC deliverables.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations to improve processes and internal controls.
  • Actively identify technical accounting issues.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting.
  • Five or more years of accounting experience in either public accounting or accounting department at a large company in industry.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Strong ability to perform difficult analytical analysis.
  • Critical thinking.
  • Ability to adhere to company deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to learn and to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and analysis skills.
Bachelors or Equivalent in Accounting
